Meet Darla Doanes

A woman with shoulder-length dark hair, wearing glasses, pearl earrings, a denim shirt, and jeans, sitting outdoors on a wooden bench with green foliage background, smiling at the camera.

I founded Good Karma Custom Homes in 2026 to transform the way homeowners experience renovations by guiding every project with integrity, masterful efficiency, and a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship. With a decade of hands-on experience spanning design, estimating, and project management, I’ve seen firsthand how easily homeowners can become stressed by unclear pricing and poor communication. I built my company to change that. I combine thoughtful planning, honest guidance, and high-quality craftsmanship and work closely with a trusted network of architectural designers and skilled tradespeople to deliver exceptionally executed spaces.

As a Metro Atlanta native and a graduate of the University of Georgia, I have a deep understanding of the communities and clients I serve. My favorite part of this work is shepherding a project from start to finish—bringing ideas on paper to life through a creative, team-driven process. When I'm not managing jobsites, you can find me reading, cooking, and spending quality time with my husband and daughter at our home in Tucker.

Core values

Focused Attention

Our mindset is on long term sustainability, not growth and profits. I intentionally limit the number of projects I take on at one time so that your home gets the attention it deserves. My focused approach means your renovation gets planned and constructed so much more expeditiously.

Positive Energy

A wise man once told me “Attitude is Everything.” I build with joy, loving kindness, and dedicated care, imbuing your home with positivity to carry forward. Renovating is about more than the finished product. The experience is just as important.

confident reassurance

Trust is earned when you know you are good hands. When challenges arise, the only way to proceed is with open and honest communication. Solutions are clear and we do not deviate from the path forward.
